Circular City Conference: Reflow and Beyond
We know the ‘why’ of circular transition, but the ‘how’ is less straightforward. Cities are hubs of large and complex flows of people, money, energy and materials, and their circularity is affected by a range of stakeholders, both directly and indirectly. REFLOW is an EU Horizon 2020 innovation action that has been running since 2019, with the aim to develop solutions that enable the transition of European cities towards circular and regenerative practices. Workshop Futureshop: Hyperconnected city
Join us for the workshop Futureshop: Hyperconnected city, taking place on March 3rd, 2022. This workshop is organised within the scope of the activities of The Hague Living Lab in the LEAD project. City Logistics and Physical Internet are two major concepts aiming to profoundly change freight transportation and logistics for increased economic, environmental and societal efficiency and sustainability. The living Lab of The Hague envisions a ‘Hyperconnected City’ where the city logistic web of numerous multi-modal logistics and transportation service providers can co-operate to ensure smart consolidation and synchronisation. In the workshop, a digital representation of this vision will be presented, together with other Dutch Digital Twin experiences.
Better streets for better cities: Register Now
The final event of the EU-funded MORE project, “Better streets for better cities”, will take place in Brussels on 17 February 2022. As the MORE project draws to a close, the experts and practitioners who have contributed to shape innovative concepts and tools for the reallocation of road space will gather in Brussels to present their experience and findings. Over the past three years, MORE has worked to identify existing and future pressures on busy roads connecting five European cities with the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T). Such pressures include factors such as demographic change, technological advances, economic growth, and the evolution of lifestyles. On 17 February, the event will address the concepts, context and challenges of street design, and will provide participants an opportunity to get acquainted with the street redesign process developed my MORE.
